A quick shout out to US fans expectantly awaiting the ultra-slick, ultra-exciting tech thriller return of PERSON OF INTEREST, commencing its fifth and final 13 episode season on CBS from tomorrow. Season Four is almost at the end of its exclusive run on the UK's FIVE, so no spoilers, but creator Jonathan Nolan and his strong, classy writing/producing team have surely pulled out all the stops in their last days working on the show, which has surely been one of the best and most rewarding to watch mainstream channel hits of the last decade, to deliver a through-line story that will satisfyingly, and explosively, conclude our heroes and their Machine's vigilant quest to stop the control of America (and the world) by the dominant Artificial Intelligence programme cruelly named Samaritan, alongside its evil and corrupted paymasters, even if it may mean the demise of one, or more, of their own...
