More pictures!
Lucy and I went to Brand Park in Glendale with some preschool friends last week and fell in love. Arlo couldn't stand that there were fish and turtles to feed and he's missed out! So we returned on Thursday after school.
You enter through big white gates and drive up the hill flanked by palm trees. At the top of the road, there's the Brand Arts Library and Studios. We haven't made it inside yet but they sure are pretty!
There's a playground, game fields, wading pools and killer hiking trails into the mountain.
That trail looks a little daunting, no?
But we are really here for the Japanese Tea Garden.
The garden is only open 10-3 Monday through Thursday. I think the other times it's a popular spot for weddings and parties.
But we aren't here for the charming pavilion, the beautiful water lilies, or the graceful trees. We are here for the gigantic hungry fish.
That last one is standing by the pond and looking up towards the top of the garden.
Lucy's senior picture.
There is nothing cuter in the world than swimming turtles.
It's been fun exploring all the new parks out here. We'll shoot more pictures and post more about them soon.
